Assumption of Responsibility, Risks, and Liability Waiver

I understand that there are certain risks of damages and injuries inherent in the practice and play of flag-football, up to and including death, and I voluntarily assume these risks. These risks include, but are not limited to, hazards associated with weather conditions, travel, playing conditions, equipment, COVID-19 or other illnesses, and interactions with other participants.

By signing this waiver, I acknowledge that playing flag-football involves hazardous actions such as running, jumping, stretching, sliding, diving, and collisions with other players or stationary objects.

Liability Waiver & Indemnification
In consideration of approval to participate in this league, I, along with my personal representatives, heirs, and assignees, hereby waive any rights to, and release and forever discharge the Elite Flag-Football League (EFL), its permit holders, committee members, volunteers, and staff from any and all liability. This includes, without limitation, claims, demands, or actions for damages, loss, or injury resulting from my participation in flag-football.

I also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the EFL and its members from any expenses, losses, or actions arising from my own negligence or willful malfeasance during any event, including damage to property or personal injury to myself or others.

Code of Conduct: Zero Tolerance Policy
The EFL is passionate about bringing people together to engage in physical activity and pursue a healthy lifestyle in a safe, fun environment. Therefore, we strictly enforce a ZERO TOLERANCE policy regarding physical altercations and illegal activity on permit property.

Physical Altercations: Any player who physically engages another player will face a minimum suspension of one (1) game and may be permanently banned from the league, depending on the severity of the conduct.

Illegal Activity: Any player found or suspected of pursuing illegal activity on permit property will face penalties ranging from a minimum one-game suspension to a permanent league ban.

Enforcement: No refunds will be issued to any player who is suspended or banned. The EFL is not responsible for any legal consequences, damages, or incidents caused by the player's own actions. By agreeing to these terms, I confirm I will not engage in physical altercations or illegal activities.

Media Permission Form
The EFL frequently takes photographs and videos of players to post on our website and social media platforms (including Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and Facebook) for marketing purposes.

By agreeing to these terms, I confirm that I am over the age of 18 and grant full permission to the EFL and its staff to capture and publish media of me online.

Payment and Refund Policy
To ensure transparency and clarity, please review our financial policies below:

Refunds: Refunds will only be issued if the football season is canceled entirely. In that event, a refund will be provided to all registered teams and free agents.

Deadlines: All participating teams and free agents must pay their balance by the due date specified on the league's registration page.

Consequences of Non-Payment: If a balance is not paid by the due date, the EFL will retain the team's non-refundable deposit. The team will be ineligible to participate in the upcoming season or any EFL-organized events until the balance is settled.

Late Payments: If a team or player has not paid their balance by the due date and the season is set to begin in less than seven (7) days, they will not be eligible to participate even if the balance is subsequently settled, and their deposit will be retained.

Communication: If unforeseen circumstances affect your ability to pay by the deadline, please contact the EFL immediately to discuss potential solutions. While the EFL may send payment reminders, fulfilling financial obligations on time is solely the team's responsibility.

Dispute Resolution: In the event of a dispute regarding payments or refunds, the EFL will work in good faith to resolve the matter equitably.

Amendments: The EFL reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to registered teams promptly.
